AFRAID TO DREAM

She hailed from the plains of wonders:
A home of disgusting humility,
Where abraded slippers took the role of shoes
And rags pretended to be designer dresses.

Biographies are best known to be straight
But hers was a story of a nine-year old adult,
Whose i-box won't take a nap,
Despite the sharpness of it's adversary's armour.

After the twenty-fifth night of pangs and tears,
She rounded up her conclusion chase ;
She stopped questioning her questions,
It was time to embrace her wierdness.

Dared to dream again
Deterred by the rants of status quo
Choked by the flames of dogma
But, it's a new game, this time
No more scared of being her type,
Never again afraid to dream.
