THE GIVER

I was a lone plant.

My life had a

Normalized occurrence

Of ill fate,

Left to wither away And die.

Deprived of the right to bear flowers

And all alone

In my desert-like life

Till he came in and configured my default setting,

Causing a ripple effect

In my life system.

It was blissful confusion.

Very strange,

But I wanted and longed For this confusion.

He was water

And he poured himself

On me

Embracing my withered Soul

Giving me life.

He gave me a part of him

And I bloomed to his touch.

We became inseparable.

There wouldn't be me without him.

He came into my life

And changed the

Normalized occurrence

From 'give and give, to give and take'.

He gave more and I took all.

I remember his words were different from the rest.

He said

"I would like to give, would you accept?"

But they said

"Can you give me some more?"

See the difference?

He was a giver

Who gave me the gift

Of life

In his incomplete self, Just to complete me.
