TALEMONGER'S TENATHLON

DAY 1

CAGED UP

Tied to apron strings I am
My hands trussed behind me
And mouth muted with scarf of fears
My flesh had a taste of their rods
As they smacked me in utter disgust
I knew not my offence
For I was captured in the Dreamland.

My knee bent with a blow of demons
As they pummeled vigor out of my
Tearful soul
Sober was my heart
For I was endeared to sorrow
Though I knew not my offence
But their evil angst they vented on me
For I was captured in the Dreamland.

They purge me of sight
And scorned they my body
For I have no eyes.
I was made to feast on grass
But they in royal goblets dined.
I knew not my offence
For I was captured in the Dreamland.

I was snared like a thief
Though innocent I am
And they cage me in this zoo of brutality
I was seized from comfort
To be impaired in this jail.
My hope is in the air
For I know
I may be in this prison
Till my last I'll breath.
