SILENT FIGHTER

A mid-summer evening cruise,
Loud music, carefree hearts and shaky voices,
Singing along to the rhythm that ties our hearts,
After another knockout from life in the ring,

Cigarette puffs slowly replacing breathable air,
As I watch every single thing pass by us in high speed,
Euphoric laughs and free-flowing thoughts,
About the epiphany of life's games,
On our fragile living,

We're meant to get back up after we fall, right?
Do you?
Even with a ton of worries on your back,
Do you still feel the need to go on?
Or do you suffocate from the bulky load?

My polygraph eyes see right through you,
Handling the steering wheel with such levity,
A tough guy on the surface, aren't you?
Not giving a damn if we crash-land

But your soul speaks your truth,
You're getting ready for your next battle,
As if it were your last, right?
Envisioning your victory until you return a harder knockout,
And kick life right in the balls.
