JUNGLE JUSTICE

I cannot see hope.
I cannot see light.
My eyes are heavy but I do not know why.
I am trapped,
Ambushed.
I am damned if I do,
And damned if I do not.
I do not know why but I have to try.
No matter what,
My words will never be heard.
For the world already sees me
In ways I would never imagine.
I weep for my sons
And my entire being shudders
For the thought of the world
In which my daughters will be born.
I try so hard – wait, just hear my cry!
I fear to walk on the streets,
Now I understand.
I say prayers when I see them gather,
So this is how it feels like.
I hear you clamor for justice –
Jungle justice.
You cry out for my blood,
To assuage the blood already spilt.
All must pay for the crimes of the few,
Including the ones still to come, too.
I stand to say
I AM NOT A RAPIST!
Do not treat me like one.
It is done – now hang me to die.
