in the dark,

or not,

since you can't see

the world I'm in.

I dine with the shadows

that lurk in the void,

hiss in my ears

and crawl surreptitiously

in gloomy corners.

You think light blinds

but try eerie darkness

and tell me

if you can still see

what lies right before you.

Another dimension,

alive

awake,

exists beyond the glaring light.

The sublime brightness

of nothingness

wraps me in a warm embrace

that no other can provide.

And I fall—

apart

away

in a deathly wedlock

with nihility.
