DEAR MAY (LETTERS FROM JUNE)DAY 20 : FEAR

We are always working against time,
An invisible deadline pushes us forward,
Propels us to an uncertain future-
Whether the fear of failure,
Or the presence of it.
And sometimes it is in trying to prevent the inevitable
That we meet our deaths.
It is the unending farce,
A satirical play,
Of us, ever willing pawns,
Wherever life's winds decide to turn us.
When life gives you lemons,
You make lemonade.
What if you have no sugar?
What if your lemons are full of worms?
What then?
Make something
With what?
Race against time,
Always, always, we race against something,
We try to prove
Something.
Do...something, anything at all
Just...beat the clock.
But I wasn't born with hands!
How can I make lemonade?
Who cares?
Just make something!
But I have no eyes!
How can I see?
Feel...something
A big joke really.
Just...beat the clock.
Nobody cares if you never had a chance.
