DARKER THAN BLACK

There are people living amongst us,
Who should have died before they were born.
There are people living amongst us,
Who destroy the very foundation of humanity.
And for what it's worth,
It's time for us to rise.

She was young and hopeful,
Her whole life ahead of her.
She chose the one place that was meant to be safe,
The one place that was universally accepted as sanctuary.
You ask questions as to why she was there,
But have you ever thought about the fact that it was a church?
If the church isn't safe to be in,
Is anywhere safe?

Yesterday I saw claims that people made,
And I started to wonder,
Were we even emphatic to the sufferings of the female child?
Fear dictates their very lives,
Fear of dressing up well,
Fear of saying things,
Fear of going places,
Even fear of breathing.
Their whole existence is heralded by the fear in their hearts,
All because some sets of bastards,
Couldn't keep their pants up.

What do you have to say to the lives lost,
From the animalistic nature of humanity?
What words would you use to describe,
The beasts that walk on too legs,
Ravaging and plowing,
Destroying and razing.
What words would you use to assuage the growing pain,
In the hearts of all who remain living in fear?

It's time to rise up as one,
Shun the darkness and embrace the light.
Hold on,
Help is on the way.
Just hold on human child,
I see you, we see you.
