Blue And Red WallS

Paint a room.
Blue faces blue, red mirrors red;
The four corners are ready.
Arrange your furniture.
The sturdy oakwood table sits in the room's centre.
Do not be chintzy while selecting your:
King-sized bed, fluffy maroon and Laurel green pillows, thick woollen mat, spick-and-span mirror;
Carefully arrange them all, everything in place, like the hairs of a hijab wearing dame.
Sweep the marbled floors regularly and dust surfaces with a fervent vigor.
Let light into the room ever so often.
Straighten the creases on the quilted mattress and sit tentatively on the bed.
Let your eyes grow accustomed to the wall clock,
As the hours count and the minutes race.
Practice your heartwarming smiles and hug yourself in anticipation.
He'll soon be with you again,
War is but for a time.
The thick mahogany of your door will one day usher him back into this room,
And you will be ready to welcome him back.
