It was all I needed, I was told,
A bite, a taste, a push,
Then I'd get to the depths of my craving.
Painted in bright, alluring colours
The dark was handed to me on a platter of gold
Like a shinning apple from a crystal clear mirror,
They sang lullabies,
Whispering in my ears lies I chose to believe.
I paid for it with my blood,
My mind they claimed,
A home they created.
The price to pay-
For the bite I took,
Was my blood in torrents,
My sanity as a whole.
