THE FIRE

The Night I Became The Fire
 I Collected My Bones
Put My Head On My Knees
 I Smoked The Signals
 Called Off The Rescue Team
And I Have Been Blowing Off Steam Ever Since

I left behind a trail of destruction in my wake,
Scotche marks and burns on flesh.
I passed on pain,
Letting anger fuel my actions,
I burnt my name into the hearts of my victims, my oppressors.
I bled my vengeance until the world turned to ash,
Then I fizzled out.

I obliterated the world,
With one sonic scream,
Laced in agony.
My pain ran rapid, ravaging the world.
Their demise eased my distress.
I burnt all I touched,
I was a flame with an unquenchable thirst for destruction.
I consumed,
Until there was nothing left.
I let the world fall to ashes.
I let it turn into a waste land.

Not because it had harmed me,
But because it had bred the ones that cursed me.
They left me bloody and bruised.
They wished for my death,
My end.
But I fought it with fire.
