Teach me how to be sad.

Is there a guidebook?

A book of rules,

A god I must obey?

Tell me, what is the right way to be sad?

How do I wear my scars-

To show you that I am broken?

Which would you like? 

Cuts or bruises?

Tell me, which would you prefer?

Teach me please.

Teach me how to cry,

In the dead of night,

When I play my games of blame-

My demons and I,

Tell us how to be sad.

This is me begging,

Tell me how to wear my scars.
