Sitting in the driveway,
Listening to all the sad songs that remind me of you.
I don't think I'm okay
I haven't been okay since you left me
There is no combination of words,
That could fix this.
I lit the matches,
I started the fire that burned away at our love.
We danced in an empty hall, to no music.
I liked the way you felt in my arms,
You head rested on my shoulder.
We ran down a hill, laughing,
We were young and free.
I can still see us there,
Every time I close my eyes.
I'm reminded of you,
Drowning in your memory.
It's almost too much to bare.
Every time I open my eyes,
You're gone.
And my heart is breaking all over again.
How do I fix this?
Saying sorry sounds cheap.
